BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!
Great concrete drill. Best value for the quality.
Don't be cheap with the bits and it will do what it's supposed to.
I like it's versatility and power. For some reason it seems to be quieter than other hammer drills. Be aware that it takes several hrs of use for the braking period (read the manual), but it will perform very well out of the box. It may not be powerful enough for heavy construction, but then again, it's not designed to do that. Get a bigger drill if that is what you need...

I trust CPO tools...My RECON works perfectly every time.

Smooth, powerful and lightweight tool
I purchased this drill specifically to build finished walls in my basement. I needed to drill holes into 60 year old concrete to install Tapcon masonry screws to attach studs to the outside walls and sill plates to the floor. In the past I had used small non-SDS hammer drills which took excessively long to drill 3/16 holes. With the Bosch SDS drill and Bosch SDS bits it takes about 8-10 seconds per hole going about 5 inches deep. It is smooth and yet very lightweight. So far I have drilled 20 holes using the same Bosch SDS bit. This drill will be used extensively for several upcoming basement projects and possibly outdoor projects where drilling into concrete is a requirement. My new Bosch drill was one of the best and most time saving purchases I have ever made.

Ok for homeowner or very light duty
Bought this hammer drill a few years ago. Worked fine when drilling small holes in soft concrete but broke down when used for half and hour drilling holes in bluestone. Had it rebuilt at authorized service center and tried again. Same result when trying to chip a small shelf on a stone. Had rebuilt second time and put it on the shelf.Might be alright for homeowner or someone with low expectations but not for professional use.

Great tool to have around
For small chipping chores and ripping up tile this tool is excellent. I wound up using it on 3 project right after delivery, removing old floor tiles, chipping through a block wall to repair a leaking outside water pipe and breaking up some large limerick stones that were buried near my homes main water service line. Using 3 different types of chisels, the tool made short and easy work of each project. It was impressive. It won't get daily use, but having a hammer drill on hand definitely makes chipping and breaking jobs easier. The price on this Bosch hammer drill was big selling point for me. I prices them out all over and wanted this model. CPO had the best price and free ,fast shipping. I will continue to buy my recon tools from CPO. haven't been let down yet.

Excellant Rotary Hammer!!
Even though it was reconditioned, this tool was just awsome to work with. I had a friend that had his Hammer Drill out (won't mention the name brand, it was embarrassing, and yes we both were using new bits) helping me with a concrete project up at the school, installing anchors on and around the track. He couldn't believe how fast and efficient this Hammer Drill worked. It blazed through the concrete with no problem!
I would recommend getting other attachments specific for this Hammer Drill. It made life so much easier.

My friend said that when his Hammer Drill is worn out, he'll most definitely get one.

It was one of the best purchases that I recieved from CPO and definitely worth waiting for! I will definitely purchase from them again!

Great power, I would reccomend this tool
I have drilled numerous holes through brick and it seems to go right through. When used with a 1" masonry bit it does not have the power to keep hammering, the clutch engages a lot. It is light and easy to handle. Over all it beats a hammer drill.

We have purchased this product for 10 years.
We use this product in commercial electrical construction and drill millions of 1/4 inch X 2 inch deep holes with these drills, they last a long time and I feel like we get more than our money's worth out of them.

Bosch Bulldog
This drill makes penetrations into concrete effortless. On one job I burned up two 1/2" hammer drills and then bought my Bulldog. The Bulldog made the job seem easy and would have saved me enough labor to pay for 2 Bulldogs.

What's the difference between a Bosch Bulldog Hammerdrill, Model 11255 VSR, and a Bosch 11255 VSR RT
BILLY on Mar 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Bosch 11255vsr rt is reconditioned and the other unit is new. Both of the units carry the same 1 year warranty.
I own a Bosch 5/8" 11210 VSR. Will the SDS bits I have for the 11210 fit this?
Sparky Jules on Mar 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they are compatible. Please note that any SDS Plus bit will work with this hammer
Will this accept a 1/2 inch diameter drill bit? I mistakenly thought the 1-inch reference meant it would accept a drill bit with a shank of up to one inch. Looks like we won't be able to use our soil drill bit that has a half-inch diameter shank. :-( Please clarify...
Love2hike on Sep 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Bosch 11255VSR requires SDS Plus bits. It is a specific system that has grooves in the shank of the bit to lock the bit into the chuck. This drill does not have a keyless chuck to tighten down onto a regular drill bit.SDS-Plus bits must be used, and there are a few made that have a 1/2in diameter, for example the Bosch model HC2084

Frank on Sep 30, 2012
BEST ANSWER: One Inch is the maximum through hole diameter this tool is rated to drill in concrete.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
