The best thing about this saw is its side blade guides. They make the blade very rigid. The newer saws do not have that feature. It also has been reported that newer Bosch saws have the blade angled forward at about 4 degrees. That makes it impossible to make a perfect square cut. This blade doesn't have that problem. All in all, an excellent tool!

Bosch has done it again I have an old bosch saw but I had to replace it this saw is perfect. I would not change anything on this saw to make it better it is perfect as it is Thanks again to Bosch and Tyler Tool.

First off, I have bought numerous reconditioned tools over the last year, and no longer buy new. To me, reconditioned are as good as new. This was the first I had an initial issue with. The variable speed trigger apparently had a short of some type, and you had to repeatedly feather the trigger to achieve the speed needed.
Called CPO, was assigned an RMA #, they shipped a new one that day, which was before I shipped them the return. I received the replacement 2 days later. Looks and operates like a new one.
I still give 5 stars due to the ease of use and smooth operation of this jig saw. Out of the other brands I've used, none compare. Even the very good manufacturers, like Bosch, have a dud every so often.

Great saw. Bosch has high quality blades to cut pretty much any material. The blade's quick release functionality is truly remarkable. If you're looking for a jig saw, it will be hard to find a better one. As far as CPO goes, it is a great place to buy tools.
