I've had this router for over a year now. I bought it when my old [@] router started to die. This Bosch is a great little router, especially at the reconditioned price. I use it both in my table and by hand and in both cases it does exactly what I ask of it. I can see how it might be a bit underpowered if you use it with hardwoods, but for me I just make more shallow passes. As opposed to othe routers, making depth changes on this one is a snap - particularly useful when it's in the table. I could not be more pleased with this.

When mounted in the router table, it is easy to change the height of the bit in the Bosch fixed based router, and very fine adjustments of bit height can be made easily. At times I would like to raise the bit higher than the router allows, and so at these times I have to raise the shaft of the bit somewhat within the router to achieve the desired height. Thus it is advisable to use bits with a one-half inch shaft.

This is a reconditioned product and it looked brand new to me. It had no signs of use and I suspect it was a returned unused item. I'm using this router in a router table. It has plenty of power and is pretty quiet as routers go. A good buy in my opinion. I've bought from CPO before and they have great deals on quality tools.
