Haven't had mine for very long, but I anxiously tried it on a picture frame project and it worked well. I had to use one of the oscillating multi tools as well as the Bosch. Together, the cut out I was doing was successful. I'll have to think of more ways to use it other than for door trims. I'll add more when I use it more.

Practice on test pieces to get the hang on using this tool! After a few cuts you will be ready for the real piece. Easy to use and the cuts are fine and accurate.

This is a great tool to cut off the bottom of a door or make a similar cut with minimal space. The particular saw I received, although new, appeared to be lacking the sawblade guard referred to in the manual.

I have a small shop and cleanup can really be a chore having to pull out my chop saw,radial arm or table saw to cut up miscellaneous small pieces and sometimes packaging that's left over after a project. And a lot of times I feel really uncomfortable using expensive carbide blades to dispose of scrap anyway. Sometimes all I need is a short section of wood for a small project, cutting it from large stock can be unduly time consuming if I'm rolling out large machinery to perform this single function. For such a small unit, this saw really makes fast, smooth, straight cut. However,I wouldn't recommend cutting anything without the object to be cut being secured to something solid. As to be expected the blade kerf is very narrow and is susceptible to binding and kicking if not kept perfectly straight, the result could be an inadvertent cutting injury. More precise, but with the thinner bigger blade, not as forgiving as a typical "saws all" unit. I'm very pleased with this purchase, Bosch makes excellent tools (I have more than a few)and I'm mostly pleased that I can buy extra blades and parts for it down the line.

We had a truckload of hardwood flooring to put down (never had done it before) and found out after starting, of course, that you need to trim back the base of the door casing in order to get that finished look. Tried a handsaw and chisels first and it was painfully slow. Picked up one of these saws and was finished with the cuts literally within a few minutes (had several doors to do). Don't have a spare blade which would be nice to have if you hit a nail. Highly recommend for that alone.
