I've only had the saw for a few weeks now, but thus far it has performed wonderfully. It's certainly a major step up from the ancient Skil sidewinder I inherited from my father. So far I've used it to cut 2X lumber, 3/4" plywood, and 1/4" aluminum plate. Nothing seems to slow it down. I would definitely recommend this saw for professionals and compulsive do-it-yourselfers ,like myself, who are looking for one saw that will cut anything and everything.

I love it! I've been using the 18v bosch cordless for years and it wasn't cutting the mustard anymore so I upgraded to a refurbished 1677-md and it's great. It's also quiet and smooth running. The blue 12 awg bosch extension cord was a good addition too.

I am about to do some major remodelling in my home so I wanted a saw that had plenty of power and also was easy to see the cutline. This saw excells in both aspects. I like being able to power it with an extension cord and if something destroys the cord then I can just replace it without having to take the saw into a repair facility to fix it. Generally speaking, the cord is the first thing to wear out on any power tool.

I don't know of any bad worm drive saws on the market today; they are all nice machines but this one has some outstanding attributes. The reconditioned tool price makes it an outstanding value and there are several built in features. The flat cast metal base, the built in hanger and the ability to use any extention cord as the primary power cord make this model stand out from the pack. You just can't go wrong at this price.

Great saw, I used it to rebuild my moms garage. I cut the roof off with nails in place and saw just kept cutting with those carbide teeth. Very satisfied it did not get to hot to handle and the plug in cord is a awesome.
