Dust collections is not as good as some other brands\models but what it lacks in dust collection it makes up for it with the up front controls, power, and smoothness\quality

THIS SAW IS GREAT FOR A LOT OF THINGS. THE ONLY THING ITS NOT GOOD FOR IS SMALL SPACES. I HAVE A BIG SHOP SO ITS GREAT, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO GET A GLIDE FOR MY HOME PROJECTS.

Cuts perfectly despite reading a few negative reviews about it. I mounted the saw to a table to prevent shifting during startup. I also had to read the manual to adjust the squareness of the blade in the vertical direction. I will replace blade with a forrest blade when I get the money.

When Bosch came out with this mitre saw with upfront controls a few years ago I knew I would eventually own one. Having recently bought one for a large project requiring many compound angles, the upfront controls made this project fun. Not having to reach out back to loosen and tighten the locknut a thousand times was nice.
Dust collector is not the greatest, but then again I have yet to use one that really works.
I did check the saw out of the box to see if adjustments were needed before using. None were needed. Quality tool. No regrets.

I bought this to replace a stationary radial saw that had seen better days. It will do its best for you if you take the time to read the manual and set it up properly. The up-front bevel countrol is great and the miter control works smoothly and accurately. The included Bosch 60 tooth blade is OK for framing, but with a Forrest Chopmaster blade, this saw gives you glass-smooth cuts. There's no wobble or deflection when it's fully extended (although you could induce deflection if you lean on it).
The dust collection bag is burlap and it's useless. Throw it away and attach a shop vac to the dust port so you don't have to breath a cloud of sawdust.
I mounted mine on a rolling cart for use in a shop. If you take the saw to jobsites, invest in a collapsible rolling stand like the one made by Delta. It's heavy and it will get smashed up if you just toss it into a pickup.
I bought a reconditioned one from CPO and it was in perfect condition, like brand new.
