Having had good success with a Diablo blade on my sliding miter saw, I bought one for my Bosch 4000 table saw. While the Bosch manual states clearly the minimum plate width needed to avoid pinching by the riving knife/splitter, I took a chance with the new Diablo 90-tooth blade, whose plate thickness cannot be found on the package or website.
Stupid me: the thin Diablo blade makes a kerf barely wider than the riving knife, with the result that on long cuts, the riving knife pinched so badly that a 3x4 plywood sheet, cut near its center, would not move beyond 2 feet before stopping dead.
So, the 60 bucks saved on the Bosch sale price was wasted on a Diablo blade that is now destined for our next yard sale.
