Love its compact yet powerful design.
My goal was to replace my Dewalt DC988 18V XRP 1/2" hammerdrill/drill/driver. The Bosch driver is much smaller & lighter, though it is only 12V where my Dewalt was 18V.
I installed a railing into concrete steps this past weekend. I took my older Dewalt with me as I knew it was heavy duty enough to drive 2" into concrete with the right bit. I did not want to haul both drivers on this project, as space was limited.
Also, there is no clutch on the Bosch PS40.
I was hoping to find a circular saw by Bosch that uses these 12V batteries, but I don't see any currently sold by Bosch.
I have had the PS40 a week or two and am very, very pleased with it. Am especially glad to have the kit - a case, two batteries, a few bits, and a 30-minute charger.

This tool is a well thought out and well built answer to any fastener driving need. I bought it to use in tight spaces for light-duty usage, but I use it for every fastener driving project now. The battery life is amazing and the tool is five times as powerful as I thought it would be. I carry a socket set and adapter in the supplied bag along with at least 20 hex drive bits and I always have the tool I need. I have used it to drive 1/2"x3" lag screws, not fast but it did the job, and even use it to drill holes in tight spaces when a drill would not fit. Despite it's small size it will easily break a 1/4" bolt or drive the smallest of fasteners without stripping if you are familiar with the tool control is not an issue.
