The pads work great, you just have to watch and not press hard on the Sander or pads will over heat and be toasted. I didn't think I was pressing hard at all, but I was doing a lot of sanding and it came apart. The Loop came apart from the backing. It was still holding the sandpaper. My wife toasted one before so I ordered a spare just in case.

Your description does not indicate that this will also fit some of the older models ie. 3283DVS.

I love my Bosch ROS, it's the best out there in it's class. Unfortunately the backing pads have a short life and are not sold in any retail stores. If you own or are thinking of buying this sander buy the backing pads by the dozen.

I purchased the Bosch extra soft, eight hole sanding pad to replace a hard pad to fit the same model hand sander and find it is doing a better job of going over the rounded surfaces of the cabin top on our boat that I am sanding. Also, the discs are staying on longer. Thank you Bosch.
