I use this saw in on large pipe. I cut below ground on 4 inch plus galvanized and cast iron pipe.In areas that are hot 100 degrees or more. My saw is used about 6 hours a day. Most saws die fast.But this monster keeps going. I made the side hook in to a handle so I can hang on. The area I work in demands alot of all the power tools we use.So far this saw has lasted. Brand De and Mil only lasted 45 to 50 days on the job and then we just throw them out. This Bosch has been running for three months. There is no TLC when you are 150 feet below ground running refub repairs on none stop water pipe. Buy it use it hard and hang on to it because it will cut for hours. The hardest thing to find are good blades do not use made in [*]this saw will rip them out of the the jaw. You need tough Blades made in USA or Germany for what I do.These blade stay in the jaw and if they bind up; hold on this saw will shake you like a rag doll. I love this saw

Comments about Bosch 14 Amp 1-1/8-in Reciprocating Saw:
Some review scared me about a Sawzall cutting through a 2x4 faster, however I realized it was done by a Milwaukee employee, because it is the blade that does the cutting. This unit has the amperage, the weight, the integrity and the smooth powerful cutting action that one would always want when cutting through a coconut (sometimes we do dumb things), or ripping out the floor in our RV (some things we have to do). I have a HoleHawg and other tools that can't be beat, but my Bosch jig saw and this saw are really great tools. I look forward to more of the same quality. The bag is not a metal box like I wanted, nor was there a package deal like the saw, a metal box, an assortment of 50 blades, and a blade case plus a longer factory cord, but it is a good nylon heavy duty bag.
