This is a very nice stapler. I definitely notice a high quality of design in the air system- my 18 gauge Porter Cable brad nailer gives me about 12 shots of 1 1/4" brads before the pancake runs, but the Bosch will shoot 20 + 1 1/2" STAPLES- sinking them perfectly, before the pancake runs (that's more than twice the amount of nail entering the wood, at almost half the use of air.) Not that I'm worried about running out of air -it just shows how the design of this gun is a big improvement over the standard design all the other air gun makers have used in the past. The stapler is very comfortable to handle, and easy to get precise placement of the staples. By comparison the Senco I used in the past (which also cost nearly twice this gun) was large and clunky, more like a 16 gauge. You could not get precise shots with that Senco like you can with this. I find the depth adjustment wheel a little stiff, but it might be the newness of the tool. The dry fire lock out is such a nice feature- while I didn't get it at first, the way it works is that the tip simply stops plunging into the work piece, thereby preventing you from pulling the trigger to shoot the staple- I thought it was jammed the first time, but realized that this is actually a feature- something I've never had in a nailer, but always wanted. I have some concern about the long term durability of the access latch for a jam- that it is a simple light duty latch, that feels a little too... light. But I've also fired about 15000 (fifteen thousand) staples from 5/8" to 1 1/2" without a single jam so far- this is in about 4 weeks of owning it. Its become my go-to gun for its ease of use, reliability, and superior power both in nailing and the holding power of the staples. I have owned a couple of other narrow crown staplers costing more than this and they are not as nice as the Bosch to use. I highly recommend this gun to anyone looking for a narrow crown stapler- period. It could cost twice as much and still be a great deal. I hope Bosch gets into the 23 gauge market at some point- these guns are promising.
