I would buy this product again

Pros

  • Best Miter for the Money
  • Best Range MiterBevel
  • Superb up front controls
  • Very high quality
  • Well thought out

Cons

  • Blade lock awkward
  • Mounting Hole alignment

Best Uses

I looked at many compound miter saws and feal this was the best for the money. It is high quality and very well thought out. I liked the easy to use upfront bevel controls, 12" length of cut, the widest bevel/miter range of any say saw with the ability to lock the saw into any angle/bevel/miter, The quarter turn stops, the micro adjustment settings, and the nice cam lock extensions with a movable board stop.

I thought it was odd that the mounting holes weren't lined up with each other front to back so it could mount to my miter stand. I had to add a spacer board.

It would have been nice if they blade lock one of the nice 1/4 pins like the other locking pins on the saw. Instead the blade locking push button had to be held in to remove the blade (this seems to be a common thing on other saws as well). Blade removal was a little cumbersome. Other than those minor discrepancies, Wow,I find this to be a great saw.

Bosch Mitre Saw Makes Trim Carpentry Fun

    By Sklumph

    from New London, Ct.

    Pros

    • Accuracy made easy
    • Durability A big plus
    • Left or right handed
    • Quality construction

    Cons

    • Weight

    Best Uses

    • Trim

I have been using this model for two years now and the accuracy has not changed or has any wear shown. This saw has been used by the entire crew every day and has yet to fail. With all of the controls up front there is no reaching around the back of the saw and guessing cut angles. Easy blade change. 60 degree right and 50 degree left cut angles add to versatility.

        Best Uses

        • Does it all

First, I am a Bosch fan. I love their tools as they are comfortable and very well made. This saw is no exception. I am remodeling my basement and using it for everything from framing to trim work. Saw has performed flawlessly thus far(I've had it since June). The dust collection system however is pityfull at best. I knew this when I bought it but it is such a nice saw I didn't care. You will have dust with any miter saw. This is a heavy piece, 65lbs, which is always a tradeoff for durability. I will take a heavy saw that lasts forever over a lightweight one made mostly of plastic any day. The stops are dead on, easy to adjust, it has a micro adjust that is really sweet for rooms that are a little out of square or tricky cuts. This one does not have a laser. They are nice to have if they work, in my experience however they are usually not right on the money and used mostly just to get close to the line. That being said a laser does make things go a little faster. When you get used to where the blade hits I don't think you will miss it though. Upfront bevel controls rock. Not on any other saw that I've seen. Once you use them you will never want to go back. It's like high speed internet, more expensive but worth every penny. Overall this was the best 10" saw I could find. I love it and will have this quality tool for the rest of my life. Recommend Highly!

        Accurate, user friendly, great looker

        By KJ

        from Rockford, Illinois

        Wood working hobby.
It's accuracy is great (after a minor tweaking).
All the needed features are there and then some.
Both argomically and asthetically a great product.

Factory settings (bevel squareness etc.) could be better.

        Questions & Answers

        New Vs. Reconditioned

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.

        • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
        • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the accessories or consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
        • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by CPO’s Money Back Guarantee;
New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
