Use it for a lot of applications to achieve even and straight surfaces on doors, jambs, windows, cabinetry, etc. etc. The dust bag attachment selection for left or right is really great when in tight spaces. The cutting depth adjustment is easy to make and it holds well. It is light and well balanced. Don't really understand why Bosch discontinued this model, it's one of the best reasonable cost cordless planer on the market
