I replaced a cheap jigsaw that I never used because the blade was all over the place.
This has a mechanism to keep the blades straight. The blades, btw, are fantastic. This was an excellent purchase (recond), sorry I waited so long.

I bought this jigsaw as a dedicated jigsaw for coping mouldings especially crown. I swapped out the foot plate for a Collins coping foot and used a 4" long Bosch blade. This saw is very smooth cutting and has good power which are critical for smooth coping. I am very happy with this saw, the metal foam padded case was a great bonus. The saw arrived quickly since I paid a few dollars extra for the 2 day shipping. I have ordered aother tools from CPO and I will certainly do so again.
