Great Small Shop Saw
I bought this saw to take care of ripping mostly softer lumber and plywood when my old bench top table saw started to break down. Shop space is at a premium for me as well as dust control. The saw excels at meeting these requirements. I love the quick setup and sturdy stand. I used to have to measure the cut with a rule on every setup...no more.. I doubt I will need to replace or upgrade my saw anytime soon. This is my 3rd Bosch tool and I continue to be impressed.

Chinese vs Taiwan Built Models
Bought this from a local Home Depot, Taiwan demo model (red painted, solid metal lock behind adjustment wheel.) Good looking saw on solid made wheels.

Brought one home - box says Made in China. Item purchased is not what is pictured on the box. Plastic lock behind adjustment wheel, miter gauge is smaller than is pictured too. Wheels on cart are different, and not built as well (no bolts holding metal rim together, possible smaller tire too?)

The saw, for good reason, is top rated in it's class, despite the changes. Price has been lowered to accommodate the cut corners. Recommend Taiwan model - if you can find one.

Would like to have a comparison between the two different 4100-09 models. What components have changed inside too?

All saws are going plastic - was hoping this one would be different.

Bosch Model 4100-09 , portable 10" table saw.
Purchased 6/17/2010.
This portable table saw exceeded my expectations. I have used it for the last seven years with only a few minor inconveniences, the fence loses its’ parallel occasionally after ripping large numbers of siding panels or twenty or more framing lumber pieces, the dust port sometimes clogs with tiny shards from the above mentioned practices. In every way this tool is exceptional. It came out of the box with the blade true to table top and slots for the miter gauge, still is. I check it each spring, with a Woodpecker Table saw gauge, as I begin to work on our remodeling projects. The saw has been kept in an unheated, uninsulated out building throughout the years. Has been covered with a tarp during some extreme mountain thunder storms, has worked flawlessly. The wheeled base makes moving and setting up simple and effortless. I no longer need too fold it or collapse to store it for the winter. But that feature is a great asset.
Before purchasing the Bosch I checked it against all the professional grade portable saws. It was then, and still is, the hands down must have tool.

Reliable, powerful.
I've owned this saw for over 5 years. In that time it has been a reliable, powerful assistant. After 5 years, I had to replace the capacitor {?} and the spring loaded magnets but I can't remember what those are called right now. That was an normal maintenance and an easy process. I recommend this saw.

Hands down best portable table saw I've ever used! Blade and fence stays as true as my stationary saw after being hauled around for years. Highly recommend you get the outfeed and side attachmentments.

You just can't go wrong with Bosch. Every Bosch tool I own is still in use and has never needed repair. I used to swear by the black and yellow brand but now look to buy Bosch without question.

Accurate tool and ease of use
Based on numerous positive reviews, I purchased this portable saw and was not disappointed. As a suggestion, I would encourage Bosch to provide a web link like YouTube to demonstrate how to unpack and assembled this tool. The manual instruction is probably not enough as many people are more visuals. This saw is a good complement to my workshop having already from Bosch the miter saw GCM12SD. The table saw was almost ready to use from the box having a little adjustment to make. Excellent product as far as I'm concerned.

High Quality!
Bought this last year. Everything was perfectly aligned right out of the box. Once I assembled the stand (a bit tricky, keep the box nearby and use the pictures on it for reference and mounted the saw I was good to go. Cuts like a dream, plenty of power and the stand is nicely engineered. I'd recommend this saw to anyone in the market for a high quality portable table saw.

How well does the dust collection work if attached to a shop vac while cutting?
Dave on Aug 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Great, my issue with the saw is when I rip 2x4's, it gets the job done but
barely, it will pop my breakers at job sites. I would not have purchased
had I known.
Is the digital gauge readout still available for the Bosch 4100 series table saw?
Gerald on Jul 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No digital readout with this saw, but honestly this saw is the best saw i

why does my bosch 4000 table saw stutter before the blade spins?
Ron on Mar 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Mine doesn't and yours shouldn't. If it actually cavitates before the
blade begins to turn then a belt pulley adjustment is required. If while
the motor ramps up then the saw blade is slightly out of alignment. My
best guess based on your description.

does the stand cone with the reconditioned unit pricing @ $449.00
kried3 on Mar 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the stand does come with the reconditioned unit.
Our company owns one of these saws with wheeled stand. I've looked all over the net for a replacement saw for the same stand. It is not diffficult to find saw and stand together for about $600. The stand itself is available for around $200. Why isn't the saw available separately for around $400?
Joe on Jan 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Bosch is only offering the 2 items as a kit at this time.
